“Don’t let anyone rob you of your imagination, your creativity, or your curiosity. It’s your place in the world; it’s your life. Go on and do all you can with it, and make the life you want to live.” – Daniel Radcliffe
With imagination and creativity, almost anything is possible. We can have absolutely no idea how to do something, and yet, we find a way. How does that happen? It happens when we give ourselves permission to unleash our creative capacity. We all have creative capacity. We were born with it. It is instinctual. It is one of the critical components comprising what makes up the larger us, the Hu, or Human Element.
As children, we really didn’t need any encouragement to be creative. Particularly those children without a ton of other toys or distractions. After all, have we not seen incredible forts and even houses made from a refrigerator box? And what of Popsicle sticks? Give a kid a box of popsicle sticks, some glue, and a little bit of time, and before you know it, we find ourselves standing in sheer awe of something that came directly from an image they created in their mind. Think lanterns, park benches, geodesic domes, chairs, wall art, boats, bicycles, boxes, and bridges (really elaborate ones too). And just about anything else you can “THINK” of…
Imagination coupled with creativity and backed up by faith and vision, is what created many of the epic books we read or movies we enjoy. Disneyland and the entire Disney Brand began as a product of imagination, creativity, belief, determination, persistence, and faith of just one man, Walt Disney.
With imagination and creativity we can literally bring dreams to life. However, it is us, our belief, and our actions coupled with faith, that allows us to do the impossible, accomplish the unthinkable, and create the life we have only ever imagined.
Whatever it is that you really want to be the very best at, be it! Whatever you want to create, create it! Whatever you want to do, do it! Do it by tapping into your gifts of creativity and imagination, couple these gifts with determination and persistence, and whatever it is you really want to bring into existence or accomplish, you will!
