3 Motivational Lessons From Tom Brady’s Story:

Tom Brady Was Aware, Looking For Inspiration, When It Came He Went Full Force Into What Inspired Him:

Tom Brady had received amazing exposure to the game of football at an early age, being that his parents were really big football fans. He was privileged enough to watch the almighty Joe Montana regularly, who was his childhood hero. Brady even attended the forever memorable playoff meeting between Dallas and San Francisco where Joe Montana delivered the famous “The Catch” which was a pass from Joe Montana to Dwight Clark during the closing seconds which led the 49ers to their first Super Bowl championship. Brady quickly became a fan of quarterback Joe Montana, and he has mentioned Montana as one of his inspirations to become a quarterback himself. He began playing football in grade 9 at the all-boys Catholic school along with playing baseball, and another inspiration as an athlete had graduated from the same school, Barry Bonds. As a kid, he attended a football camp at a nearby college where he learned to throw from Ex Atlanta Falcon QB Tony Graziani. Brady put his motivation into perspective “We all have experiences in our lives that change us, and we all learn from people, like my dad, but at the end of the day, it’s only us. And we’re only responsible to make ourselves happy.” These events served as more than enough inspiration for Brady to manifest his OWN dreams.

When Tempted, Tom Brady Followed His Inner Ambitions Not His Ego:

He knew exactly what he wanted to do and was never thrown off the course. Tom Brady was even drafted into the MLB as a catcher but decided to play college football instead. That was a very bold move, showing he was confident he was going to make it no matter what, that is what you call real passion and not just an ego based decision to make money. In college, Brady was always a backup to high potential Quarterbacks who had great seasons. “A lot of people don’t believe In you. Its obvious by now, six other quarterbacks taken and 198 other picks. And I always thought ‘you know what, once I get my shot, Im gonna be ready. Im gonna really take advantage of that.” In Michigan, he was 7th on the depth list and had extreme struggles to get some playing time. Rather than give up, he hired a sports psychologist to help him deal with constant frustrations. Even after being drafted as a 6th string QB; Brady would eventually become an elite quarterback making much more money than an MLB pitcher in the end. “I guess in a sense I’ve always had a chip on my shoulder. If you were the 199th pick, you were the 199th pick for a reason: because someone didn’t think you were good enough.” His passion and ambition delivered his dreams.

Tom Brady Had The 4 C’s Down. He Was Calm, Committed, Competitive, And Consistent With His Vision:

Brady has a very strong driving force to stay consistent to the big picture. Initially, he was the 6th round pick at 199th overall in 2000 and began as a 4th string QB. Eventually he was behind Drew Bledsoe who had a permanent position until an injury sidelined him. Thanks to his calm and committed approach, Brady had his chance, and he rose to the occasion, winning a miraculous Super bowl in the same year. From the outside, it looked like a script written by Hollywood, but for Brady, it was destiny serving its course. “I’m not a person who defends myself very often. I kind of let my actions speak for me.” His competitive journey to be the best began and he never let off the peddle Every quarterback can throw a ball; every running back can run; every receiver is fast; but that mental toughness that you talk about translates into competitiveness.” He always remains calm under pressure, knowing that what happens during the game means nothing and everything can turn around with a strong vision for the finish. His work ethic and ability to keep growing and learning is what makes him a winner. And it is apparent on the field or in any interview. Tom once stated “A lot of times I find that people who are blessed with the most talent don’t ever develop that attitude, and the ones who aren’t blessed in that way are the most competitive and have the biggest heart.”
