R. Buckminster Fuller’s Epiphany

Buckminster Fuller wisdom

Buckminster Fuller heard a voice during depression and had a contemplation with suicide that would change the course of his life forever. He was becoming an alcoholic, felt guilty about his daughter dying of polio and was at the brink of absolute financial troubles. He had just lost his job at the age of 32 and had no savings to fall back on. He began taking long walks around Chicago as was having suicidal thoughts of taking his own life to help his family out with insurance money when he had his eye opening 180 degree life changing moment and heard something profound from within.

He would claim that he felt he was elevated many feet above the ground and he was surrounded within a white sphere as the voice spoke directly to him…

The Infamous Voice of Wisdom From Within:

“From now on you need never await temporal attestation to your thought. You think the truth. You do not have the right to eliminate yourself. You do not belong to you. You belong to Universe. Your significance will remain forever obscure to you, but you may assume that you are fulfilling your role if you apply yourself to converting your experiences to the highest advantage of others.”

He claims this moment served him immensely and it would reshape his life. He would go on to contribute significantly to humanity and became one of the brightest Inventors, a renown Scientist, Author and President of the Mensa.

“There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it’s going to be a butterfly.” – Buckminster Fuller
