7 Quick Tips For Young Entrepreneurs

Tips for young entrepreneurs

1. Find Your Passion & Do What You Love

If you don’t love what you do, chances are that you are likely to do it sloppily and badly. Young entrepreneurs always do what they love. If you discover your passion you will never fail as you love to do what you do. As the great Steve Jobs said, “You have to find what you love, and NEVER settle.”

2. Dream Big

All great businesses come from an idea, a thought, which gradually evolves into something great. If you are thought of as crazy for your ideas, then do it! If you ask all great businessmen, they will tell you they were laughed at. As long as there’s a will there’s a way. Ignite your passion and associate it with your idea. But don’t shun criticism. Pay heed to it and improve your ideas. Like Donald Trump once stated “If you’re going to be thinking, might as well think big.” In fact, he has whole book based on this subject, check it out here.

3. Always Think Positive

Young entrepreneurs are positive people. Negative thinking makes problems worse and it creates additional problems. They hinder creative thinking. There is a saying, “The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.” Never doubt yourself, change your mind-set to words like ‘I can’ and ‘I believe’. This will create a positive aura and things will go in your favor. People will enjoy being around you if you have a positive aura and this is important as a main factor in running a business in people management.

4. Never Say ‘Tomorrow’

Never delay or procrastinate when running a business, a business is like a seed. Tyler Perry said, “When a seed is planted on a ground all you can do is water it, you cannot control the sunshine and you cannot control the weather.”

If you want your business to blossom, then you must water it with hard work and even more dedication. Don’t procrastinate and do the tasks required on the spot. Even if you are tired, just do it! The rewards WILL be worth it. Persevere and work for your business. As in my own words, ‘Tomorrow is a mystical land where 99% of peoples’ actions lie. Be the 1% and succeed.’

5. It’s Not Stealing, It’s Borrowing’

Creating a business is not always about creating something brand new, it is about finding something you love to do and doing it better than anyone else. Young entrepreneurs take an idea and improve on it. Market failure often occurs when people are used to old ideas and do not adapt as fast to new products. An extremely innovative person on the other hand, looks towards updates of existing products, thus adapts to his/her product or service to provide what the other products are missing, create a unique selling point and market your idea.

“I’ve known people who had fantastic ideas, but who couldn’t get the idea off the ground because they approached everything weakly. They thought that their ideas would somehow take off by themselves, or that just coming up with an idea was enough. Let me tell you something — it’s not enough. It will never be enough. You have to put the idea into action. If you don’t have the motivation and the enthusiasm, your great idea will simply sit on top of your desk or inside your head and go nowhere.” – Donald Trump (find out his keys to success here)

6. Make Planning A Habit

Always plan your business and your market. Plan your work and work your plan. Young entrepreneurs always have a strategy when running a business, whether it be a sales strategy or survival strategy, always have a strategy. Know clearly where you want to take your business and what steps are required to take it there. Remember that ‘not’ having a plan is a plan to fail!

7. Patience Is A Virtue

You’re not likely to make profits on your first shot, so patience is very important in a business, whether waiting for customers to pay up or waiting for sales to get higher. All entrepreneurs have to be patient. It will take some time for your idea or product to finally catch attention. Until then you have to be patient, whilst working with clients this is very important and remember that you are not likely to make profits on your first month. Don’t give up! Keep persevering! No man has ever become a Successful Business Magnate (including these people), overnight.
