Brendon Urie, born on April 29, 1987 in Utah, is known as a younger brother to his four siblings, but to the rest of the world he is known as the lead singer for the band Panic! at the Disco. Urie is a singer, song-writer and musician however back-tracking to his days in school, Urie was not seen for his talents but was instead frequently bullied because he was seen as different. He later met Brent Wilson in a guitar class available in their school where Wilson asked Urie to audition for the lead guitarist role for a band he was in, called Panic! at the Disco. After hearing how talented Urie was, the members of the band offered him the spot. One day, lead singer Ryan Ross was not able to attend practice, leaving Urie as the back-up. After hearing Urie’s incredible voice, the band asked him to be the lead singer. Since this change, Panic! at the Disco has released five albums.

The band hit rocky waters in 2009 when Ross and bass player Jon Walker left the band to “embark on a musical excursion of their own.” Fast-forward to 2015, Spencer Smith, the drummer and co-founder of Panic! at the Disco alongside Ross, also left the band, leaving Urie alone. He ultimately decided to continue the band as a one-man show and is currently the lead singer and guitarist for Panic! at the Disco. Urie did not let these obstacles get in the way of his passion for music and doing what he loved most.
