3 Keys To Learn From Sylvester Stallone’s Success Story:

Sylvester Stallone Took Courageous Action When Inspired:

After watching the Muhammad Ali fight in 1975, Sylvester Stallone was highly motivated to create an amazing film, and he went straight forth and made his dream come true. Instead of getting a regular job when he was on the brink of poverty, with a pregnant wife, he decided to risk it all to make Rocky, and the risk paid off big time. His life story and the adversity he triumphed through resembled the many challenges Rocky Balboa faced. The inspiration needs to be so strong that it motivates you to take major action.

Sylvester Stallone Understood That Sacrifice Is Temporary, But Necessary For A Better Future:

Initially Stallone accepted dead end jobs such as cleaning at the Zoo, and working at a movie theater so that he could afford to live out his passion. Stallone even recalls being homeless after being evicted from his apartment and living near a New York bus station. In fact, he even acted in a “soft-core pornography film” to make a quick $200 bucks, he states “it was either do that movie or rob someone, because I was at the end – the very end – of my rope.” Stallone surrendered what he had for a better future. He did not give up, his motivation stayed strong, but rather sacrificed what he had to become one of the highest paid actors in the movie industry. Sylvester even had to sell his dog, which he states was his best friend, to make it where he wanted to be in life. Once he got there, he had to negotiate with the new owner of the dog to sell it back to him by offering him a small part in the movie. Stallone states “I take rejection as someone blowing a bugle in my ear to wake me up and get going, rather than retreat.”

Sylvester Stallone Was So Motivated, He Constantly Stayed Focused On Making His Vision A Reality:

Growing up, Stallone suffered academically and emotionally which led him to being expelled. Since he found himself always getting into trouble, Stallone would enroll himself in a special high school for troubled teenagers where he would graduate from, and eventually go to college.  In regards to “Rocky”, Stallone did not chase the money, but tried to make his vision a reality. He wanted to act in his own money, and was wiling to take a pay-cut to do so. Many people would have taken the money for the film he created and moved on to doing something else, but Stallone was determined to be an actor and no price could change his mind. He did whatever he could to become an actor, even if it meant he had to take a big pay cut in the short run.
